Rosa, based in Hoboken, New Jersey, has been testing pizza ovens & outdoor cooking for years. Every review on this site comes from hands-on time with the actual product — not spec sheets.

What We Believe

• A pizza oven is a heat machine. Everything else - the dough, the sauce, the cheese - is just there to not get in its way.
• The first pizza you make in a new oven will be bad. Plan for it. The second one tells you what you bought.
• A 12-inch oven that hits 900F beats a 16-inch oven that struggles past 700F. Temperature range is the spec that matters.
• Wood tastes better, gas is easier, and electric makes sense indoors. The right answer depends on the night, not the brand.
